Raise the Roof!!
The most important and difficult part about converting our school bus is raising the roof by 15 inches! The best part about this step is that it's now over and done with!! It took quite a while to prep for and mentally figure out how to get it done.
It was a great day, weather was good and all the preparations were taken care of. My cousin David started cutting everything that connected from the top to the bottom. After the cuts, we used a car jack and a 4x4 to slowly raise roof a little bit at a time. Once we reached the 15 inches, David welded 1 Inch square tubing to connect the top and bottom back together.
