Framing the Windows
We've discovered that the first step in every part of this bus conversion process is always the hardest. Once we are able to figure out how it's done, the rest of whatever we're doing takes less and less time. My cousin started framing out the windows with 1" square tubing. The first one took a while longer then the next two. We have three more to go!
Metal is pretty cool to work with. My cousin is showing me how every little bit of the metal gets used. Almost none goes to waste. My wife and I have been learning sooo much about good welds and the world of metal working. Pretty damn tough group of individuals if you ask me!
Two things I'm constantly looking out for when I work with metal and welding: Sharp edges and Hot Spots! Respect the metal and that shit won't slice you up!
Almost time for Sheet Metal and Rivet Guns!!
Check out some photos from the first window being framed out below!
